PvE mobs with AI to simulate GvG teams, is what that translates into for me.

But maybe I hope for too much.

Already there. It's called PvP.
That's what it is,

PvP is for fighting on an equal field, with smart opponents.
PvE is for fighting the big stupid brute with the overpowered skills.

Eureka I’ve got it. The way to up mesmers in PvE by means of full usefulness (in some players eyes). Is to allow certain monster skills to be copied and carried over via skills like simple thievery. This would not affect PvP in any way, shape, or form. Could you imagine taking something like Shiro’s “impossible odds” skill?

But, every one of those "Thievery"-skills would be available to secondary Mesmers too...so wouldn't really help Mesmers that much to get the attention they deserve.

For the moment i really await Hard mode but i cannot forget about the SR nerf, and since it still takes 25 energy to make a bone fiend it's a killer. Bone fiends aren't really strong, die quick and how the hell can we reach 10 minions if those hard enemy's knock them down so easely, even a Golem woudn't last long, and since i really like bone fiends because of their ranged attacks and quick responce time its a real bummer equipping bone horrors and vampirics.
Tch, get around it mate, if you want a bone fiend army, drop the lousy flesh golem and equip Offering Of Blood, you can still have your army as easily as before. ~ People start whining instead of thinking when they encounter something negative.

Back on topic: I think we need a hard mode. How hard it will be won't matter, it's always good to have variety and higher quality loot.

I don't think anyone noticed the fact that Gaile said that the skillbars would be updated.

I noticed it. But I also think mobs will be level 2X to make it even harder.

I think that'll only happen in early areas. maybe a 1 or 2 level boost in normal areas.

Gripe, gripe, gripe. I think OP is right that this will be the big thing to do until we get closer to GW:EN. I can't wait to go through old ascalon again with my level 20 characters.

I'm hoping that the rest of the games will be about RoT difficulty.

Grrr things I fear
-unwaking waters, stronger kunavang? More evil afflicted soul explosions, Can't I just skip this mission T_T

-Varesh, if she has more margonites I'll be totally pissed, sure I got masters afk but jeez -_-.

I want Shiro tagachi to have some mobs wtih him, hes already uberness give him varesh like mobs and he's past hard^.^.

What I want to see is hardmode making other skills really shine, monsters use hexes and stances but less enchants so a symbiosis team helps buttloads.
Fast spikes are needed to minimize damage quickly so Assassin Promise builds are requested...ye know..

I'm really curious as to whether we'll get a new set of maps with new fog of war, or if we'll keep our existing explorations. I'm also wondering whether we'll be able to redo quests we've done in normal mode, and if so, whether the quest rewards will be any better.

So....will nerfing dom make mesmers completely unwanted? Methinks so. It's hard enough to get into a PUG now. Unless other skills are seriously buffed, I will NEVER be able to get in UW, etc. lol

But I guess that means we'll be relegated to playing normal mode and thus the gap will widen in terms of equipment and drops. Mesmers will be stuck with crappy drops and non challenging missions.

Or will it be possible to solo hard mode? With anything other than a W/MO, SS necro, or invinci-Monk I mean. I've done everything will heroes/hench so far and finished most of factions and nightfall. From what I hear this doesn't sound possible in hard mode.

(Or maybe I'm missing the point completely. If I am, please feel free to correct me and my ignorance.)

Not if they only can be worked with mesmers primary; or be set up as the skills being added effect only to mesmers. Even if it means you have to have a high-end attribute to use these skills, and an added casting time to PvE (keeps those secondary mesmer classes at bay). Honestly I know other people who have suggested this before, and it could work. Sorry for not getting back to that response sooner was taking care of other business.
